Zillah is a writer, director and photographer. She has won the Wordsworth Trust Prize and Poems on the Buses Competition, and was shortlisted for the Manchester Poetry Prize, Alpine Fellowship and Wasafiri New Writing Prize, among others. She has received a RSL Literature Matters Award and a Creative Wales Award. Her poems have been published in magazines and anthologies including Mslexia, Wasafiri, The North and The Next Review.Zillah’s film Staying (Aros Mae), produced by Ken Loach’s Sixteen Films and supported by Ffilm Cymru Wales and BBC Wales, and her photographic exhibition Green Dark, supported by Ffotogallery and the Arts Council of Wales, will launch in 2020. She is writing a first poetry collection and several screenplays.
