Valts Ernštreits is linguist, translator and interpreter who writes his poetry in Latvian and Livonian – Finnic language spoken solely in Latvia and one of the smallest languages in Europe. His poetry has been previously translated into Fimmish, Czech, Swedish, English, Dutch, Russian, Estonian, Hungarian.
