Stephen Payne is a cognitive scientist, currently a Professor of Human-Centric Systems in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bath. His first poetry pamphlet, The Probabilities of Balance was published by Smiths Knoll in 2010. His first full collection, Pattern Beyond Chance, was published in 2015, by HappenStance Press. He lives in Penarth on the Vale of Glamorgan.
