Rhiannon Hooson is a poet and author from mid Wales. She has won major awards for her work, including an Eric Gregory award from the Society of Authors, and performed at literature festivals and venues across Europe and the UK, including the Hay Festival, where she was in residence as a Writer at Work in 2019. Her work has been featured in the Guardian, Magma, and Poetry Wales among others, and her first full length collection, The Other City (Seren, 2016), was shortlisted for the Wales Book of the Year award.
She now lives in the Welsh marches after time spent living and working in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and is currently working on a novel with the help of a Literature Wales bursary, the first chapter of which won the PENfro festival first chapter award.
