Rhea Seren Phillips

Rhea Seren Phillips is a PhD student at Swansea University (2016-2020). She is researching how the Welsh metrical tradition in English could be used to challenge modern perceptions on Welsh cultural identity. She is the creator of Grandiloquent Wretches, a website dedicated to the Welsh metrical tradition in English. She has been published in The Edge of Necessary: Innovative Welsh Poetic 1966-2018 (Boiled String and Aquifer Press) and she is looking forward to publishing her debut collection with Boiled String in 2020. Her poetry has appeared in Molly Bloom, Tears in the Fence, The Lonely Crowd, Envoi, Parallel.Cymru, among others. She lives in Llanelli, South Wales.
