Paul Henry is the author of nine books of verse. Originally a songwriter, he has performed his poems and songs at literary and music festivals in Europe, Asia and the USA. A popular Creative Writing tutor, he’s presented arts programmes for BBC Radio Wales, Radio 3 and Radio 4. Described Carol Ann Duffy as “one of the most important Welsh poets now writing”, his later work has been widely anthologised.
A performance version of his most recent collection, The Glass Aisle, featuring songs co-written with Brian Briggs, toured UK festivals. A long, untitled radio-poem, commissioned for Armistice Day by Tinderbox for BBC Radio Wales, and broadcast as They Are Gone But Not Silent, was shortlisted for a 2019 AIB Award. https://www.paulhenrypoet.co.uk/
