Mike Jenkins is retired teacher of English and now conducts workshops with adults and children in creative writing. He is a former editor ‘Poetry Wales’ and co-editor of ‘Red Poets’ magazine for 26 years. He holds an Eric Gregory Award, John Tripp Prize for Spoken Poetry & Wales Book of the Year for ‘Wanting to belong’ (Seren), a collection of interlinked stories. His latest book of poetry is ‘From Aberfan to Grenfell’ (Culture Matters) with Swansea artist Alan Perry, written in Merthyr dialect.
His work has recently been published in issue 54.2 of Poetry Wales.
