David Hawkins grew up on the Severn Estuary and is now based in Bristol. He is a writer, book editor and naturalist, with a particular interest in aquatic plants, bryophytes and true bugs. Recent work appears in Arc Poetry, B O D Y, Blackbox Manifold, Channel, Datableed, The Goose, Interpreter’s House, Magma, Molly Bloom, Otoliths and White Review amongst others. He was awarded second prize in the 2015 UK National Poetry Competition.
