Ailbhe Darcy is from Dublin and lives in Cardiff, where she lectures in creative writing at Cardiff University. She is the author of Imaginary Menagerie (Bloodaxe 2011) and Subcritical Tests, in collaboration with S.J. Fowler (Gorse Editions 2017). Her most recent collection, Insistence (Bloodaxe 2018) won Wales Book of the Year, the Roland Mathias Poetry Award and the Pigott Prize in association with Listowel Writers’ Week, and was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize. She is co-editor, with David Wheatley, of a forthcoming History of Irish Women’s Poetry.
